Marble Vintage Amplifiers
The MARBLE Vintage series consists of a collection of single-channel
tube amplifiers. These amps feature full tube circuitry, tube-driven
reverb and tube-rectified power supply (not for the Guitarman).
All MARBLE vintage series amps are point to point wired with only
the best quality parts available to insure superb performance
with a vintage character.
Output transformers are handwound in the transformer department.
To obtain the right amount of saturation effects like natural
roll-off at full power, a paper bobbin construction with
the correct amount of interleaving to match is used. High quality heat-treated
lamination and vacuum impregnation finishes the transformers.
U.L. approved judd wire (300-600V) is used on all transformers
and they are tested for 2KV insulation at full power before use.
The chassis are made of high quality steel and finished with
triple-plated chrome. All Vintage series cabinets are made from
scandinavian solid pine. After assembly the cabinets are covered
with impregnated tweed cloth and lacquered and aged on MARBLE's distinct
patented procedure. There is a wide range of optional finishes
for Tolex fans.
The circuitry is constructed traditionally on noninductive eyelet
boards with silver coated eyelets. Special U.L. Judd wire is used
in the power supply. Vintage push-back wires are used for the
remaining connections inside. Only heavy duty- and quality parts
are used. Brands of the parts used are Bradley, Stackpole, Sprague,
Saha, Xicon, IC, Switchcraft, Sovtek ceramics, Accutronic and
Carling.
MARBLE offer a wide range of speakers for their vintage series amps.
Most standard models come with Jensen Reissue speakers. These
are good quality and cost-effective speakers with the right tone
and attitude. For other speaker options like Celestion Eminence
or WeberVST ask your MARBLE-dealer.
MARBLE Harp amps are built with exactly the same philosophy. The harp amps use output transformers that closly resemble
the original Bassman 59 concept in respect of bobbin type, interleaving,
lamination and aging to obtain the perfect mix of smooth tone
and compression.
