Marble Harpmaster
The Marble Harpmaster is our top of the line Harp amp. It is
tuned for true harp power and fat blues tone with no compromise.
At first, the Harpmaster was based on the 1959 Fender Tweed Bassman
circuitry with several modifications added. Later we redesigned
our Harpmaster to be dedicated for harmonica or bluesharp amplification
only. The circuitry in the different stages of the amp is tuned
to the specific frequency characteristics of harp with several
classic microphone combinations. This amp features the improved
normal channel for reduced harshness and feedback at high volumes
and a bright channel for more open playing.
The harpmaster combines excellent tonal response and low microphonic
feedback even at higher volumes. To meet todays' demands of playing,
the power and low-end of the Harpmaster are significantly increased
compared to the Roadking. To handle the increased power no less
than six special design 8" Marble Bluetone speakers are used
in a Roadking sized pine cabinet. The Harpmaster is available
both in tweed and in several tolex covers.
Our Harpwood and Harpmaster amplifiers are developed in close
support with our friend and great performer Ben Bouman 'the Dutch
Harpmaster'. Currently Ben teaches harmonica and bluesharp playing
throughout The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. His harp technique
workshops are very popular. He drops by in our shop on a regular
basis to give our harp amps a check up before shipping out. We
want to thank Ben for his enthousiasm and very useful feedback
and we are very happy that he stays so closely committed to our
shared goal: the quest for blues tone.
